Forget Trump’s disclosure, US intel community is already ‘infiltrated’

The United States intelligence community is infiltrated by spies from other countries and emphasis on US President Donald Trump’s disclosure of what is said to be highly classified information is because the pro-Israeli and anti-Russian media “sensationalizes” that, says  a former American intelligence linguist.

Scott Rickard told Press TV on Wednesday that what Trump is said to have shared with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Russia’s ambassador to the US, Sergei Kislyak in a recent White House meeting is “absolutely not a secret.”

Trump shared information about “terrorism and airline flight safety” in the Oval Office meeting.

“The Russians are very much aware of the same activities… This was not any kind of information that was being divulged,” said the Orlando-based political analyst, arguing that, “The intelligence community has been incredibly infiltrated by Israeli, Russian, French and British intelligence, you name it.”

Trump has been under investigation for possible collusion between his associates and the Kremlin.

The president has been making efforts to hamper the probe, in part by his recent dismissal of FBI Director James Comey.
