SNAP Director- Clergy abuse victim advocate, may face jail

David Clohessy, the director of SNAP-the Survivors Network of those Abused by Priests, may face jail time for refusing to obey a judge’s order to release private documents and information on clergy abuse victims to the unconscionable lawyers of the Catholic Church. The Catholic Church lawyers are representing an accused serial pedophile, Rev. Michael Tierney, who is being sued by 5 alleged victims, and also suing the Diocese of Kansas City. Clohessy is trying to protect the privacy of the child victims, and their private information, and I see the tactics of the Church lawyers as a new strategy to scare more victims from coming forward. I do not think there is any boundary the church hierarchy and their lawyers won’t cross to attempt to stop any more child clergy sex abuse victims from seeking justice.

I should know. I am a SNAP volunteer Director myself, and I fought an unprecedented battle in court in the San Francisco Bay Area against the Catholic Church and the Salesian Order of priests for 5 years. I was sexually abused for 2 years by a sociopathic catholic priest who was shielded and protected by the most powerful American Cardinal to have ever been promoted by the Vatican and the Pope himself- Cardinal Levada of San Francisco. During that time, the Church lawyers deposed all of my family members, my wife, cousins, aunts, uncles, friends, acquiantances, schoolmates, doctors, therapists, and many more; apparently to antagonize, intimidate, and scare me; and to scare other victims from coming forward by their example of hostility.

Unfortunately, this conduct of the Catholic Church and its lawyers is typical of the richest, largest syndicate in the world; and the intentional harassing attitude that the church dishes out to advocates of child sex abuse victims is very common. The church apparently is relentless in it’s war against victims, advocates, and whistleblowers. I believe the attack on Clohessy is typical of the war the church and its lawyers wage against the survivors and victims who have chosen to speak out against the depravity of the Roman Catholic Hierarchy- concerning their rapes, shuffling of molesters, coverups, lies, and deceit. I lived that war myself for 5 years, and I won the battle against the Mammoth Molestation Machine, and I was witness to their remorseless, scathing tactics. The Church is now laying the path-work as a message for future clergy sex abuse victim advocates, but I do not believe that this injustice and shameful tactic will prevail; I believe that victims will come out and speak louder- I know I will.

So as the Catholic church once again shows its contempt for those who support and advocate for clergy sex abuse victims, the world watches, and victims continue to come forward in countries all over the planet. And as the world watches the Catholic church pay billions of dollars in court settlements, losses, and restitution, and spend additional billions in attorneys fees, we shake our heads in amazement at the irony; the largest, richest church in the world, who claims to represent god himself, is also the most corrupt, vindictive, and unremorseful “religious” organization on the planet.

As I have always said, if there really is a God- the Catholic clergy sex abusers and Catholic Hierarchy must make him puke.
