I have a very old laptop using a Pentium III 1Ghz and 512 meg RAM. I have not tried this AmigaOS operating system but I did try the Aros system. The Aros operating system was not very good at all on the old computer and I didn’t like it overall either. I run the latest Crunchbang Linux on this old laptop now and it goes really well with that amazing Linux distro. I’d like to try the AmigaOS at some point but I’m a great fan of VLCplayer and unless a player is reliable and can utilize flash videos then I won’t use it.
So if you have an old computer and want to give it some life you have the choice between Puppy Linux, Crunchbang Linux and from the look of this video, AmigaOS! My old faulty laptop has actually been bought back to life quite well with Crunchbang linux, its actually surprising how well it performs. My Crunchbang takes just about 4 seconds to boot into the login screens and then around 5 seconds straight to the desktop. Not even a stripped down Windows 2000 could come close to that kind of speed. My Crunchbang only takes up around 91 megabytes of the 512 megabytes of memory. I do detest laptops though as they suck in comparison to desktops in every way going. Someone really needs to get VLC onto the AmigaOS which will soon be coming out with 4.2 shortly all set-up for the Amiga X1000 from A-EON Technology.
We are all getting fed up of the monopoly of Apple and Microsoft along with all these big corporations like Dell that go along to get along. All of them singing to the tune of The Worshipful Company of Information Technologists who are the true trend setter for technology that you are not meant to know about. You are to believe in their front illusions like Apple development and so forth. Do not be fooled and just see who makes up this Livery company. People are fed up of being put in a one-World prison system all standardized. We are not drones, we want our freedoms and some real choice. Right now many use Linux but hopefully the AmigaOS and the Amiga systems from A-EON Tech now and in the future will provide an alternative so we can move away from the wickedness. The next stage of the Beast system is to remove the computer altogether except the screen which will then run everything off the Internet and similar network systems of the future. The new ChromeOS being the first attempt at conditioning the people for this change. ChromeOS being owned by Google who are controlled by the National Security Agency just like Microsoft who have an office at the NSA and who worked jointly on Windows 7 with the NSA.
