About 40 people have been injured, three fatally, after a fuel tanker exploded in northern Afghanistan, officials say.
An official in the Parwan province said a small blast made a hole in the tanker, according to the AFP news agency.
When crowds gathered around the vehicle to collect fuel, a bigger explosion took place, the official added.
Earlier reports said that five people had died after the blast.
The police chief of Bagram district told the BBC that three people had been killed and 39 injured.
