U.S. Charges Two in Plot to Kill Saudi Official

The Justice Department charged two men in an alleged plot to use a weapon of mass destruction to kill Saudi Arabia’s ambassador to the U.S.
Manssor a were charged in a purported conspiracy to murder Adel Al-Jubeir in a scheme that began early this year and progressed through Sept. 29, according to papers filed in Manhattan federal court.
Arbabsiar also wired more than a $100,000 to the U.S. as part of the alleged assassination plot, the government said.
The two men are charged with five counts including conspiracy to murder a foreign official and conspiracy to use a weapon of mass destruction.
They may face as much as life in prison if convicted.
