Echinacea remedy not for children under 12, says MHRA

The herbal remedy echinacea should not be given to children under 12, the UK’s drugs watchdog has warned parents.
The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) said there was a small risk of severe allergic reactions and this outweighed any perceived benefits.
Some people take the tablets to reduce the severity of cold and flu.
The MHRA said it was a precautionary measure and older children and adults could continue to use echinacea.
It said young children were at heightened risk of allergic reactions such as rashes, hives, difficulty in breathing and even potentially fatal anaphylactic shock.
Richard Woodfield, the head of herbal policy at the MHRA, said: “This is not a serious safety issue, but parents and carers need to be aware that children under 12 could have a low risk of developing allergic reactions.
“The measures being taken are precautionary in nature. Parents should not worry if they have given echinacea to children under 12 in the past.”
Licensed products containing echinacea, some of which are aimed at children, will have to be labelled with the warning.
Can someone show me the safety record of Echinacea and also compare it to the safety record of quack allopathic doctor treatments for colds and flus? Nearly 300,000 a year die in the U.S. alone from pharmaceutical poisons. Can someone show us the safety record of all herbal medicine over the last five years in comparison to coal-tar poison from merchant scum Rockefeller and co? This is an outright attack on a very safe herbal medicine that works wonders that an over-paid allopathic medical inquisition cannot come close to doing. Herbal medicine has been attacked numerous times and one of their tricks is to take a single compound out of an herb and make their synthetic poison version of that compound. They will then inject large amounts of this direct into a mouses bloodstream in order to kill the poor creature. They will then use this against the herbal medicine as they have done against Lobelia and Peruvian Bark in the past amongst others. You could never ingest enough Lobelia to kill anyone since you would be violently sick well before that could ever happen. Another herb they did this with was the perfectly safe Greater Celandine which they class now as a poison like Lobelia. Two herbs which can do wonders for your health. Even if a natural compound is as toxic as they may try to claim, when a herb is taken as a whole herb this will buffer the negative of the one compound in question.
The last paragraph reminds me of how its all no different to how they attack natural vitamins by using synthetic useless vitamins in tests which do not work. The most well known one they have done this with is the vitamin E tests where they use their pathetic Eastman-Kodak derived poison which they believe is vitamin E because it is almost identical molecularly. One big problem with this poison is that it is reversed compared to natural vitamin E and can never work the same. Now do you see through their dirty tricks and manipulations? What a perfect example of what I was hinting at with this vile Holland & Barrett company that went down the pan after it was sold off by Heath & Heather.
