Pope Benedict XVI in shock resignation

Pope Benedict XVI is to resign at the end of this month after nearly eight years as the head of the Catholic Church, saying he is too old to continue at the age of 85.

The unexpected development – the first papal resignation in nearly 600 years – surprised governments, Vatican-watchers and even his closest aides.

The Vatican says it expects a new Pope to be elected before Easter.

Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger became Pope in 2005 after John Paul II’s death.

The BBC’s David Willey in Rome says the move has come as a shock, but in theory, there has never been anything stopping Pope Benedict or any of his predecessors from stepping aside.

Under Canon Law, the only conditions for the validity of such a resignation are that it be made freely and be properly published.

A Vatican spokesman, Father Federico Lombardi, said that even the Pope’s closest aides did not know what he was planning to do and were left “incredulous”. He added that the decision showed “great courage” and “determination”.

Italian Prime Minister Mario Monti is quoted as saying he was “greatly shaken by this unexpected news”.

The brother of the German-born Pope said the pontiff had been advised by his doctor not to take any more transatlantic trips and had been considering stepping down for months.

Talking from his home in Regensburg in Germany, Georg Ratzinger said his brother was having increasing difficulty walking and that his resignation was part of a “natural process”.

He added: “His age is weighing on him. At this age my brother wants more rest.”

At 78, Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger was one of the oldest new popes in history when elected.

He took the helm as one of the fiercest storms the Catholic Church has faced in decades – the scandal of child sex abuse by priests – was breaking.

In a statement, the pontiff said: “After having repeatedly examined my conscience before God, I have come to the certainty that my strengths, due to an advanced age, are no longer suited to an adequate exercise of the Petrine ministry.

“I am well aware that this ministry, due to its essential spiritual nature, must be carried out not only with words and deeds, but no less with prayer and suffering.

“However, in today’s world, subject to so many rapid changes and shaken by questions of deep relevance for the life of faith, in order to steer the boat of Saint Peter and proclaim the Gospel, both strength of mind and body are necessary, strength which in the last few months, has deteriorated in me to the extent that I have had to recognise my incapacity to adequately fulfil the ministry entrusted to me.

“For this reason, and well aware of the seriousness of this act, with full freedom I declare that I renounce the ministry of Bishop of Rome, Successor of Saint Peter, entrusted to me by the cardinals on 19 April 2005, in such a way, that as from 28 February 2013, at 20:00 hours, the See of Rome, the See of Saint Peter, will be vacant and a conclave to elect the new Supreme Pontiff will have to be convoked by those whose competence it is.”

A German government spokesman said he was “moved and touched” by the surprise resignation of the pontiff.

“The German government has the highest respect for the Holy Father, for what he has done, for his contributions over the course of his life to the Catholic Church.

“He has left a very personal signature as a thinker at the head of the Church, and also as a shepherd.”

  • Well remember how years ago I told you that Angelo Scola would be the next Pope? People never believed me until a few years after and it was revealed in the documents about the assassination plots against Scola who has been groomed by Ratzinger for the position of Pope. Watch as the white smoke raises into the heavens and a new Osiris is bought forth called Scola. All this ready for the festival of Ishar, remembering the Catholic Church is the continuation of Babylon the Great. The Pope is always subordinate to the Jesuit General at the Curia Generalizia nearby in Borgo Santo Spirito protected by the Spanish CNI intelligence under Jesuit trained King Juan Carlos of Spain. When Scola is made Pope expect him to be in the position for a short time before being assassinated. He’s a Venetian and this is usually always the case, it goes back to the bickering between Rome and Venice remembering Venice was ex-communicated. Remember that Venice is tied to the Minoans of Crete and the Phoenicians of the Middle East. Rome is more tied to Babylon aka Iraq/Sumer. The truth is that the Phoenicians were the most civilized and advanced society on Earth such as the city of Tyre. Egypt just does not come close in comparison to the advancement of Pheonicia.

  • Take note of my highlighting of the next coming antichrist, Angelo Scola in this old video of mine. The other possible contender would be Cardinal Peter Turkson. Who will be victorious? Myself of Marco Ponce? Who has been closest so far? Myself of course! All eyes on the election of Osiris.

    • Maybe its better to put black Turkson in there to coincide with black President Obama, and Disney’s black Frog Prince. If Scola is chosen, it would prove the Catholic church’s closeness to Freemasonry and Freemasons, Vatican Assassins, and The Unhived Mind websites.

Here in Canada the press is stating that a Canadian will replace him! I think it’s wrong.

Pope Benedict XVI to retire; will a Canadian replace him?

Funny thing here is that Cardinal Marc Ouellet is the odds on favorite at 5/2 on Paddypower!

    Peter Turkson odds are 7/2!
    Angelo Scola odds are 8/1!

Is there anything that humanity will not bet on. I’m putting my money on the Scola has he’s the only one named twice on Paddypower! (LOL) Being from the home of the nobilities in Venice also sways my decision. I guess we’re all going to find out soon!
Bono though is a long shot at a 1000/1! You never know! LOL

  • Next pope could be a Canadian

    10:39 am, February 11th, 2013

MONTREAL – News of Pope Benedict’s surprise retirement rekindled speculation that high-ranking Cardinal Marc Ouellet, former archbishop of Quebec City, could be named the first-ever pope from the Western Hemisphere.

Ouellet, 68, is prefect of the Vatican Congregation for Bishops, the body that appoints bishops around the world. He was seen as a potential pontiff since prior to the 2006 death of his mentor, John Paul II.

Bookmakers wasted no time Monday in setting the Canadian’s odds of replacing Benedict.

Gibraltar-based Ladbrokes had Ouellet in second place with 3-to-1 odds, behind Cardinal Peter Turkson of Ghana.

The Irish bookie firm Paddy Power had Ouellet ahead of Turkson as the top papal candidate at 5-to-2.

The National Catholic Reporter had previously listed Ouellet as one of the top three pontiffs-in-waiting. The American publication cited the Canadian’s solid theological knowledge and the fact that he’s fluent in several languages.

In a 2011 interview with QMI Agency, Ouellet recoiled at the thought of ascending to the leadership of the world’s billion Catholics.

“Oh, my God, it would be a nightmare,” he said. “You can’t stop the world from dreaming. It’s perhaps not very enviable, it’s an overwhelming responsibility.”

Ouellet, a native of La Motte, Que., is generally considered a conservative within the Church.

During his time as archbishop of Quebec City from 2003 to 2010, he provoked strong reactions by saying that children should not be aborted for any reason, including in cases of rape.

Lightning strikes St Peter’s Basilica as Pope resigns

    • All signs of the real occult meaning behind the Vatican as St Peter’s Basilica is the worship of Zeus the planet Jupiter symbolized as being the God of lightening. May I remind you that the name Peter comes from Jupiter and Ptah of Egypt.

      • Craig, why have you stopped making videos?

Why do you promote Alex Jones’ stuff when he is obviously preventing your information from reaching a larger audience?

Why do you post David Ickes shite?

Why do you promote Phil Scheiders obvious disinformation on this site?

I don’t believe that this is Craig Oxley. I just hope it was quick.

I shall begin to share my thoughts on ther forums.

        • First of all I do not have the time to make videos at the moment amongst other reasons plus the audience cannot be reached since I am not allowed to present my information on youtube where the audience once was.

I do not promote Alex Jones, I will place some of the articles off that site on here which are of worth. I do not suppress like he does.

I do not post anything of David Icke and I promote David Icke Debunked by Chris White

I do not believe Phil Schneider was a disinformation specialist, far from it in fact and that is why he ended up on a wooden box, beaten black and blue with all his fingers chopped off and hung up with a hose pipe.

The Unhived Mind is and always will be UHM your opinions are totally incorrect

Sharing thoughts on their forums will find you banned like I have been from David Icke’s site amongst others. Real truth is not accepted.

          • Pope Benedict resigned to avoid arrest, seizure of church wealth by Easter

Posted on February 13, 2013 by itccs

Diplomatic Note was issued to Vatican just prior to his resignation

New Pope and Catholic clergy face indictment and arrest as “Easter Reclamation” plan continues

A Global Media Release and Statement from The International Tribunal into Crimes of Church and State

The historically unprecedented resignation of Joseph Ratzinger as Pope this week was compelled by an upcoming action by a European government to issue an arrest warrant against Ratzinger and a public lien against Vatican property and assets by Easter.

The ITCCS Central Office in Brussels is compelled by Pope Benedict’s sudden abdication to disclose the following details:

            1. On Friday, February 1, 2013, on the basis of evidence supplied by our affiliated Common Law Court of Justice (, our Office concluded an agreement with representatives of a European nation and its courts to secure an arrest warrant against Joseph Ratzinger, aka Pope Benedict, for crimes against humanity and ordering a criminal conspiracy.

            2. This arrest warrant was to be delivered to the office of the “Holy See” in Rome on Friday, February 15, 2013. It allowed the nation in question to detain Ratzinger as a suspect in a crime if he entered its sovereign territory.

            3. A diplomatic note was issued by the said nation’s government to the Vatican’s Secretary of State, Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone, on Monday, February 4, 2013, informing Bertone of the impending arrest warrant and inviting his office to comply. No reply to this note was received from Cardinal Bertone or his office; but six days later, Pope Benedict resigned.

            4. The agreement between our Tribunal and the said nation included a second provision to issue a commercial lien through that nation’s courts against the property and wealth of the Roman Catholic church commencing on Easter Sunday, March 31, 2013. This lien was to be accompanied by a public and global “Easter Reclamation Campaign” whereby Catholic church property was to be occupied and claimed by citizens as public assets forfeited under international law and the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court.

            5. It is the decision of our Tribunal and the said nation’s government to proceed with the arrest of Joseph Ratzinger upon his vacating the office of the Roman Pontiff on a charge of crimes against humanity and criminal conspiracy.

            6. It is our further decision to proceed as well with the indictment and arrest of Joseph Ratzinger’s successor as Pope on the same charges; and to enforce the commercial lien and “Easter Reclamation Campaign” against the Roman Catholic church, as planned.

In closing, our Tribunal acknowledges that Pope Benedict’s complicity in criminal activities of the Vatican Bank (IOR) was compelling his eventual dismissal by the highest officials of the Vatican. But according to our sources, Secretary of State Tarcisio Bertone forced Joseph Ratzinger’s resignation immediately, and in direct response to the diplomatic note concerning the arrest warrant that was issued to him by the said nation’s government on February 4, 2013.

We call upon all citizens and governments to assist our efforts to legally and directly disestablish the Vatican, Inc. and arrest its chief officers and clergy who are complicit in crimes against humanity and the ongoing criminal conspiracy to aid and protect child torture and trafficking.

Further bulletins on the events of the Easter Reclamation Campaign will be issued by our Office this week.

  • Be interesting to see if the Jesuits have forced Benedict XVI out so that he cannot get Scola into the position thus favouring Adolfo’s bussom buddy, Cardinal Turkson. We shall see what happens soon. Will it be me or will it be Marco Ponce who wins out, regardless I think there has been a lot of dodgy stuff going on within the Vatican over this battle for Pope.
