American broadcaster CNN has been caught editing out Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton’s “bombing” reference while addressing the Saturday explosions in New York and New Jersey.

Nearly 40 people were injured as a result of the two blasts as well as a stabbing spree at a mall in Minnesota.

Speaking onboard her campaign plane shortly after the attacks on Saturday night, the former secretary of state said first responders and the victims should be the center focus in the wake of the “bombings,” before criticizing her Republican rival Donald Trump for using the same terminology.

“I’ve been briefed about bombings in New York and New Jersey, and the attacks in Minnesota,” she originally said. “Obviously, we need to do everything we can to support our first responders, also to pray for the victims.”

“I think it’s important to know the facts about any incident like this,” she said of Trump’s remarks, who had earlier called the New York explosion a “bomb.”

The CNN, however, decided to edit out Clinton’s first sentence altogether and use a soundbite that starts with her call for supporting first responders.
