Could President Obama be impeached over Crimea crisis?

Voice of Russia, the Russian government’s international radio broadcasting service, today ran a full transcript of their March 15 interview with Mike Billington, an “activist in the LaRouche movement,” under the strong headline: “Could President Obama be impeached over Crimea crisis?”
The full text of the VoR wire follows:
“This is not really about Crimea or even Ukraine, it is about the fact that the Western banking system is in a state of total panic and collapse and that they are being driven into war with the need to loot the Eurasian continent, both Russia and China. The question of impeachment is imparted, because, finally, some of the Democrats recognize that this President is indeed insane, that he is taking us to the very brink of thermonuclear war and there could actually be a thermonuclear war in days,” Mike Billington, activist in LaRouche movement, told The Voice of Russia.
VoR: Mr. Billington, do you think President Obama could indeed be impeached over the Crimea crisis, even though he may deserve this?
Billington: Not exactly over the Crimea crisis, this is one of the sparks, but it is really over the question of the Crimeas situation and the broader Ukrainian crisis, that we are being brought very close to a thermonuclear war. And the recognition of this, as Lyndon LaRouche has insisted, that this is not really about Crimea or even Ukraine, it is about the fact that the Western banking system is in a state of total panic and collapse and that they are being driven into war with the need to loot the Eurasian continent, both Russia and China. They cannot tolerate the collapse of the West, while the Eurasian nations are moving ahead. And they are being driven to this war. The question of impeachment is imparted, because, finally, some of the Democrats recognize that this President is indeed insane, that he is taking us to the very brink of thermonuclear war and there could actually be a thermonuclear war in days. And they have, therefore, taken actions, as I’m sure you’ve heard, which could have been taken any time over the last two or three years with the number of crimes of this President. The leading senior Democratic Senator Dianne Feinstein, who is head of the Intelligence Committee, has in these last few days gone on a total offensive against the Obama administration for the overt crime of the CIA investigating and in fact breaking into the Senates computers to try to subvert the investigation into the CIA’s use of rendition and torture back during the Bush and Cheney administration. This is an overt breach of the separation of powers, which is the bedrock of the US constitution. And this has been taken by Feinstein and a number of other Democrats as a basis for launching what has to be seen as a probable impeachment attack against this criminal President. I would say though, that what Mr. LaRouche has said last night is absolutely the case, that what is finally driving these Democrats to take action against this criminal President, who is acting as a dictator ignoring the constitution on many-many fronts, is the fact that they recognized that he is taking us right directly into a totally unnecessary criminal thermonuclear confrontation with Russia, and potentially on a global scale a war which, as anyone with brains knows, could wipe out the civilization.
VoR: Many news analysts are unanimous in the opinion that the Ukrainian crisis is a geopolitical battle between the US and Russia. In your opinion, how will it affect the relations between the two countries in the long-term, I mean, politically, economically and so on?
Billington: Well, there wont be any relations if we have a thermonuclear war. I think the point to be made is that what Mr. LaRouche and his wife Helga LaRouche have insisted on since the fall of the Soviet Union was that the obvious sane approach was to recognize that since there was no longer an ostensible enemy in the communist world so-called, that therefore we must eliminate the NATO, we must move towards the collaboration on great development projects (what the LaRouches called the land-bridge and or the new silk road connecting Europe and Asia through Russia and through the Central Asia with development corridors, great new development projects, water projects, nuclear power). In other words, to move the world forward, as Franklin Roosevelt and his ally Stalin intended to do after WW II, which of course was never achieved, because the British Empire and their stooges in the US chose instead to maintain with the launch of this Cold War insanity. So, we are in a situation where the crucial relationship between the US and Russia, just like the US and China, has to be the basis on which we unite the human race around the potential for great development and new cultural renaissance, and a scientific renaissance. If we cannot do that, if we cannot implement the Glass-Steagall resolutions here in the US and in Europe to wipe out this bankrupt derivative bubble, which is being used to loot and destroy nations throughout Europe and in the US, and launch instead this kind of long-term credit approach to great development, then we are not going to have any relations at all, we are going to be blown up. We are on the brink of a thermonuclear holocaust and we have to stop it by all means. And the only way to do that is to take this lunatic in the White House, to take his finger off the button. He is being effectively instructed by his controllers in the city of London and Wall Street to go ahead and launch a confrontation which will necessarily end in a war, if we cant remove this President through impeachment. And Im glad to say that there are finally signs that some of the wiser Democrats and I think some of the Republicans as well recognize this danger, and are taking the at least preliminary steps to carry this through, while we, Mr. LaRouche and our organization are on a full-scale offensive here, and really around the world to make it clear that this impeachment is not only necessary, but it is possible and it has to be carried out very rapidly.
VoR: Do you think a political solution to the Ukrainian crisis is still possible?
Billington: Not without removing Obama. He, like Dick Cheney before him, is committed to a policy what is used to be called the neo-conservative policy under Obama. I think it more clearly simply has to be stated it is the British Empire policy of imposing this global dictatorship as the only way they see of preserving the power of this totally bankrupt financial empire. And, therefore, they are going to continue pushing until Russia and China back down. My sense is that Mr. Putin is not going to back down when he sees that the US is openly backing a fascist neo-Nazi regime in Ukraine, that they are threatening to bring missiles not only along their border, but maybe even in Ukraine in a first strike capacity, which the Russians recognized, they cannot back down from this, if their nation and really civilization is going to survive. And therefore, I think it is entirely the matter of whether we can in fact remove Obama, bring the saner elements of both parties in this country back to their senses and to begin a constructive policy of collaboration with Russia and China, and others on this great development project.
