During a telephone conversation between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogantouched upon the situation in Syria. This was reported on the official Kremlin website.

In addition, the two heads of state discussed topical issues of cooperation between the two countries, noting the mutual interest in joint projects in the energy sector, including construction of the gas pipeline “Turkish stream” and NPP “Akkuyu”.

Speaking about the crisis in Syria, the two sides exchanged views on the need to increase efforts by the international community to promote peaceful political process and creating the conditions to de-escalate the situation and resolve the humanitarian crisis.
