SURKOV EXPLAINED NULAND, AS KIEV DISRUPTS THE MINSK AGREEMENT

Following the meeting, the Russian presidential aide Vladislav Surkov and the assistant Secretary of state Victoria Nuland, the parties agreed to increase pressure on Kiev to accelerate the implementation of the Minsk agreements

Moscow and Washington should increase pressure on Kiev to force it to speed up the implementation of the Minsk agreements. To such conclusion came the assistant to the President of Russia Vladislav Surkov and the assistant Secretary of state for European and Eurasian Affairs Victoria Nuland after the meeting in Moscow.

As RIA Novosti reported, citing a source familiar with the negotiations, the parties recognized that the Ukraine proposals on the implementation of the political settlement of claims does not correspond to the Minsk agreements.
In addition, the assistant Secretary was able to confirm that in August and September monitoring mission of the OSCE hundred and forty-five times carried out inspections in the conflict zone and never found there foreign troops.

The armed conflict in the South-East of Ukraine began in April 2014 and is still ongoing. Despite the withdrawal of the arms from contact line in Donbass, the Minsk agreement, the situation between the forces of the APU and the militia of the unrecognized republics remain tense.
