U.S. electricity prices reach all-time high
U.S. electricity prices reach all-time high
Sunday, April 05, 2015 by: Jennifer Lilley
While the gasoline price index, the overall energy price index and the overall Consumer Price Index did decline in January 2015, over the past year, only one index did the complete opposite.
The electricity price index, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), actually increased during these same time periods.
According to the BLS’s Consumer Price Index Summary, “The fuel oil index…fell sharply, declining 9.9 percent after a 7.8-percent decline in December. The index for natural gas, which rose in December, fell 3.4 percent in January.”
But electricity? It didn’t follow in the same footsteps.
“The electricity index was the only major energy component to increase, rising 0.9 percent, its largest increase since May 2014,” the BLS statement continues. “The electricity index is also the only major energy component to rise over the last 12 months, increasing 2.5 percent over the span.”
The need for a self-sustaining lifestyle
The increase is all the more reason to turn your attention to Mike Adams’ Food Rising, where the Health Ranger has made available — among many other necessities — a Mini-Farm Grow Box. It’s everything that NaturalNews readers should enjoy as it’s the epitome of a self-sustaining lifestyle that aims to reduce, if not downright wipe out, dependency on traditional consumer approaches and mainstream notions. The ideas and products available are ones well worth exploring, especially as today’s world is facing a downward economic, social and environmental spiral.
Others prefer to refer to this unsettling societal collapse as a time to prepare for when the proverbial SHTF, an popular acronym standing for “sh*t hits the fan.” In other words, when there’s no food left on shelves, when financial transactions go by the wayside, when severe drought and floods and human greed leaves people scrambling for security, that’s when the S has HTF.
Why the Health Ranger’s Mini-Farm Grow Box is the answer to increasing electricity prices
According to FoodRising.org, where the Health Ranger’s beneficial products and eye-opening videos reside, the Mini-Farm Grow Box is a “…non-electric, open-source food production system that can be easily constructed using common tools and parts.” It “produces highly nutritious food with higher mineral density,” ranging from fruits vegetables to root vegetables and herbs. The system also uses significantly less water than conventional agriculture uses in its soil, takes up less space than food that’s grown in otherwise traditional agricultural spaces and best of all — especially in the face of the BLS news — is 100 percent non-electric.
While wearing a “May the forks be with you,” black apron, the Health Ranger explains in his “Food Rising Mini-Farm Grow Box official launch video” the importance of this technology. First and foremost, he reassures others that they need not fear the word, “technology,” with thoughts that it’s complicated. In fact, he calls it a “…revolutionary low-tech technology,” in which common everyday items along with ones that can be downloaded for free, can help people become grow food and become self-sufficient.
The 100 percent non-electric Mini-Farm Grow Box is essential, he says, due to the “dire state of affairs of our world.” In his video, he goes on to say that the Grow Box allows “…for decentralized, grass roots, low cost, high nutrient density food production…” which can “…empower billions of people all around the world.”
A stance against corporate greed and centralization
People will not only be able to provide themselves and their families with healthy foods, but will also be taking a stance against corporate greed and centralization.
In the video, Adams shares how only a few select media outlets seem to control what people are told, infusing the masses with mental toxicity.
He aims to help people break free from the “if they do or say it, it must be OK” mentality, demonstrating the urgent need for people to take back their health and basic freedoms. It’s his belief that if enough people focus on self-sustaining, non-electric methods such as the Grow Box, then control can be taken away from those who seek to manipulate and do harm, and instead, be given to those who make it their mission to restore the health of the planet and themselves.
